This bus journey, from Nha Trang to Cam Ranh Airport, takes about 1 hour from the bus station and the costs is 70000vnd (updated January 2023). You do not need to go to the bus station to take this bus. It makes a few stops along the way, inside the city, before heading to the airport. For example, there is a stop just in front Vincom Plaza/Condotel, kitty-corner from Sailing Club. If you are in a group of 3 or more, taking a taxi may be a better option for you since the total cost will be around the same, or cheaper.
So, how do you take this bus? Buses depart every 30 minutes. You can take it at the bus station or on any of the stops along the way. No need to buy a ticket ahead of time; however, when you take the bus from Cam Ranh Airport to Nha Trang, you do need to buy a ticket at the counter just outside the domestic terminal. If you are planning on catching the bus at one of its many stops within the city, be sure to keep an eye out for it and make sure the driver sees you waiting, or he may not stop.
What about luggage? If you have large suitcases or packages, it is a good idea to take the bus from the bus station. That way you have time to load up and make sure all your things will be able to be transported to the airport safely.
What if I want to take the bus from the airport to Nha Trang? You can buy a bus ticket right outside the domestic terminal. The bus also stops at the international terminal, but if you don’t see it, go to the domestic terminal. The bus will continue to pick up from Cam Ranh Airport to Nha Trang until the end of domestic flights scheduled for the day.
